下面是我对《黑客帝国》中哲学思想的一些感悟：1、 是真实还是虚幻，是唯物还是唯心尼奥在母体中生活，后来在人类反抗组织带领下觉醒。在母体里人们感觉非常真实，就像现在的我们。如果说在母体里的世界中，信奉唯心主义才是正确的，而在锡安城，信奉唯物主义才是正确的，那我们现在的生活难道就真的是真实的吗？我们推崇的马克思唯物主义就是绝对是正确的吗？什么是真实，什么是虚幻？物体所给与我们的触觉如此真实，但这真的就是真实吗？这不过是神经对外界的反应，就像母体里，从空中坠下，现实中的人也会死。人的感觉未必是真实，在虚拟现实里，也能得到完全真实的感受。就像庄周梦蝶，究竟是蝶化庄周，还是庄周化蝶？ 谁又能说得清呢。所以唯物唯心看来只是角度不同，境界不同。

因为 NEO是被当做“垃圾”处理掉的。机器被设定为从培养皿醒过来的人，是已经被矩阵系统认为是“垃圾”的资源了，没有价值了，需要处理掉。为什么需要处理掉？因为不处理，会占用一个培养皿的资源。（培养皿虽然很多，但是可定是有限的）。怎么处理掉垃圾呢？只要把里面的人挪出培养皿，移动到“回收站”就可以了。机器认为人离开了培养皿会自然死亡，不用再次杀死。机器关心的是培养皿的资源占用问题，不关心里面的人。
这个情节隐喻了面向对象编程语言的“垃圾回收机制”，一个个培养皿的人就是一个个“对象”。人从培养皿醒过来，就像“对象”=NULL了。机器把醒过来的人丢到垃圾场，就像虚拟机JVM调用System.gc()进行自动垃圾回收。
